This is the city's only surviving cable car barn and this building powers all the cable car systems in the city.
The irony of this old world technology (big churning wheels power the cables) in one of the world's most technologically-savvy cities will give you a chuckle. The museum's exhibits include Andrew Hallidie's original cable car. Free admission. 10 a.m.-5
